For August FAM Time, we made a splash with paddleboarding lessons at Butterfly Lake, thanks to Grand Junction Adventures! From the get-go, it was a blast. We started on dry land, learning safety tips and basic techniques, before finally taking the plunge—literally—into the water. With members of all skill levels, everyone listened up and left with new tricks up their sleeves.
The day was packed with laughter, especially when someone made an unexpected splash! It was heartwarming to see everyone cheering each other on as we all tried something a bit out of our comfort zones. By the end, we’d worked every muscle and earned ourselves a well-deserved rest. This paddleboarding adventure definitely paddled its way into the top of our favorite events!
