Gratitude. It’s such a beautiful word in so many ways. I have so much to be grateful for today, so many people to appreciate. Today is the day realization hit that Foster Alumni Mentors has happened. Many hours poured into creating this program and it’s finally happening. All the people that have contributed time, effort, and compassion toward making a difference in the lives of foster youth.
Sometimes it’s difficult to see what the future will look like and other days, like today, I can’t stop smiling at what the future holds for these youth!
It’s because of you we have an opportunity to guide former foster youth, show them the successes that can happen, and provide more than just a mentor, but a hope in a better future.
