Meet Theresa!

I am a Grand Junction native, graduating from Grand Junction HIgh School and obtaining my B.A. from Colorado Mesa University in Psychology with a concentration in Counseling and a minor in Criminal Justice. Over the past 15 years, I have worked with survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse, people with a substance abuse history, high-risk families, children and families in the child welfare system, a paralegal, and currently work in real estate. I have been a guest speaker at the Domestic Violence Awareness Academy, the police academy, local schools, and Detention of Youth Services. I have volunteered many hours with different non-profits in the community, was a sworn-in CASA volunteer, and served as the President of Guardians of the West (GOW). I have two people I remained as a Court-Appointed Guardian after GOW dissolved and I am also a Court-Appointed Guardian of a child that moved from the Child Welfare system to the Adult system. In my spare time I love to travel, go to concerts, and spend time with my people.
